Artist Relations / Product Specialist


Artiphon is hiring an artist relations and product specialist who is highly organized, super knowledgeable in digital music creation, and knows how to be inspiring and supportive with artists and influencers. Perhaps you’re a musician/producer, a graduate of a studio engineering program, a talent manager, a media producer, or a digital marketer. To thrive at this job, you'll need to be obsessed with our product, the Artiphon INSTRUMENT 1, and connecting it to MIDI-based software on iOS and desktop. You’ll need to have a sharp mind for digital marketing and user-generated content, and be a charismatic community catalyst who brings together our user and artist networks to celebrate musical expression.

This position is based in NYC or Los Angeles.

If you’re in NYC this position is remote (work from home) + co-working. If you’re in LA it is remote.
This job is a part-time independent contract position to start.

What you'll do

    • Identify and communicate with artists who will be a good fit for the INSTRUMENT 1 and future products, ranging from micro-influencers to bigger stars and influencers.

    • Conduct product onboarding sessions in person and via video chat.

    • Coordinate artist-generated content, diligently following up with artists to ensure follow-through and ongoing engagement.

    • Be the point of contact for artists on technical and creative support, collaborations, and general community-building.

    • Spend time daily on Artiphon’s social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter) engaging with artists, brands, and our community.

    • Attend events and meetups on behalf of Artiphon, represent the company, and fluently demo the product.

    • (As this role develops) you would organize and lead artist/community events, meetups, showcases, and jams.

    • (As the role develops) you would teach workshops on Artiphon products for beginner and advanced users.

    • Support our Artist in Residence programs.

    • Generate reports on performance metrics for social posts and campaigns.

    • It’s a big plus if you're interested in being on camera for instructional and musical video content.

Skills for success

    • Very knowledgeable and experienced with digital music production, MIDI controllers, synths, and DAWs.

    • Disciplined and organized in your workflow, communications, and documentation.

    • Comfortable and fluent in the world of musical artists and creatives.

    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to be both friendly, professional, and fun with artists and business partners.

    • Strong working knowledge of social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Soundcloud) and best practices for each.

Terms and Compensation

This role is part-time and remote.

This is an independent contractor position.

Monthly compensation to be discussed upon interview.
